Monthly Meetings

Monthly Meetings

We hold monthly meetings, usually on the first Saturday of the month at the McCollough Library, 5115 Washington Ave. Evansville, IN 47715.  Park in the back by the tree line and you will find the meeting room by the back door.

Our meetings have donated items available for raffle and members may bring fish to sell.  We have an outstanding selection of items for our meeting raffles.  Members and the club donate items which often include a variety of plants, fish, snails, food, and equipment.  Also the club often has a larger grand prize such as a 20 gallon aquarium.  Proceeds support the club.

Also many of our meetings will have presenters on various subjects. Scroll down to see more info about the presentations.

Our meetings are open to the public!

If you’re interested in aquariums and haven’t met us yet then come out and see us.  Our members love to meet fellow fish heads and we want to help you succeed in your fishkeeping adventures.

Important Note

The library is expected to begin major renovations in mid 2023 so our meeting location will vary month to month until that work is done, which is expected to take up to a year.  Find the latest meeting location each month on our home page or on Facebook.

May 2023: Club President Mike DeWolfe gave a presentation on hatching brine shrimp and showed us his DIY brine shrimp hatching apparatus that cleverly keeps salt spray from getting all over the place.  Also, supporting board member Rich Cummins demonstrated the use of Potassium Permanganate for treating fish disease.

April 2023: We were honored to have guest speaker Gary Hater, founder and CEO of the Goldfish Council, who delivered an information packed goldfish presentation.  We also got to see and buy some of his beautiful fish!
